Being deputy of a clan had its good sides and bad sides. One good side is that you can go anywhere you want, but one bad side is that you can still be pushed down by the leader, medicine cats and elders. Feathersong didn't care, though. She sat, licking her paw daintly, as she peered around the camp. Everyone seemed to either be asleep or busy, from the soft silence that greeted her yearning ears. She stood up quickly, almost falling down in the process, and padded out of the clearing entrance. No one would miss her, and she wouldn't be gone long, just long enough to hunt for food to feed the clan. Feathersong hadn't been very busy lately, and decided to do some good for the only home she had even known. So far, she had been to one gathering as the new deputy, and it had been fun. As she was trotting along in the pine forest, Feathersong breathed in the friendly scents of her clan. Something moved in the undergrowth and she stopped dead in her tracks, crouching low. A mouse, perfect. She creeped up on it and leaped high into the air, taking its life quickly. Since she wasn't far from the camp, she decided to bring it back and bury it there. As she padded back to camp with the hunt in her mouth, she figured out where she would bury it. Next to the elder's den, so then I can get it later. The day was sunny, and promised a good hunt. The forest was full of critters that sound be easy to catch, as new-leaf was approaching fast.
